Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GuroHub collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our class record, school forms, answer sheet scanner, AI drafting, educator community, messaging, marketplace, onboarding, and account features.

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account and sign-in data, including your email address and Google-linked profile details used for authentication.
• Profile data, such as your username, real name, school name, DepEd role, avatar, and payout details.
• Community and messaging content, including threads, replies, reactions, chat messages, and notifications.
• Marketplace data, including listings, descriptions, tags, uploaded resource files, preview images, purchases, ratings, and download activity.
• Payment and payout records, including PayMongo payment references, QR payment status, payout method, and payout number.
• Learner records that teachers encode or import, such as learner name, LRN, sex, birth date, section, scores, grades, and attendance.
• Answer sheet photos and files that teachers upload or scan for checking.
• Technical and security data, including IP address, user agent, route path, request ID, and session cookie data used for security and audit logging.

We use information to operate and improve GuroHub, including to:

• authenticate users and restrict access to eligible accounts;
• keep class records, compute term grades, and produce school forms such as the SF2, SF9, and SF10;
• check answer sheets and tests that teachers submit;
• create and manage profiles, threads, chats, listings, purchases, downloads, ratings, and payouts;
• process QRPH payments and maintain transaction records;
• deliver files, support buyer and seller activity, and review platform abuse or disputes;
• protect the platform, investigate misuse, and maintain audit trails for payment and admin actions;
• respond to support, legal, and compliance requests; and
• improve the product for educators.

Learner records are entered by teachers and are used only to keep the class record and produce school forms. Learners do not have accounts and are not contacted by GuroHub.

• A teacher sees only the sections and subjects they handle. An adviser sees the grades of their advisory class. A school head sees the class records of their own school.
• These access rules are enforced in the database itself, not only in the app screens.
• Learner records are never sold, never used for advertising, and never shown publicly.
• Finalizing, reopening, and returning class records, and corrections to learner details and LRNs, are recorded in an audit log.

AI features only produce drafts or suggestions. The teacher reviews them and decides what is used. AI never computes or changes a term grade; grades come only from the scores the teacher encodes.

• Lesson plans, lesson decks, and tests are drafted from the subject, topic, and notes the teacher types. They do not use learner records.
• When a teacher uses the AI answer checker, photos of answer sheets, including the name and section written on them, are sent to an AI model to read and score the answers. These requests are routed only to providers that do not keep or train on the data.
• When a teacher imports an existing class record file, the column headers and a few sample rows, which can include learner names, are sent to an AI model to find where the scores are. These requests also go only to providers that do not keep or train on the data. The scores themselves are read by GuroHub, not by the AI.

Some information is visible to other users of GuroHub, such as your profile username, name, school, avatar, threads, replies, public listings, listing previews, ratings, and other content you choose to post in community or marketplace areas.

Direct messages, private uploaded marketplace files, payout details, payment records, and internal audit logs are not intended to be public, except as needed to operate the service, comply with law, or resolve disputes.

We may share information with third-party providers that help us operate GuroHub:

• Supabase for authentication, database, and realtime infrastructure, hosted in Singapore.
• Cloudflare R2 for file storage, such as uploaded files, answer sheet photos, and generated documents.
• OpenRouter, which passes AI requests to AI model providers, as described under AI Features.
• Vercel for hosting and basic, cookie-free usage analytics.
• Resend for sending emails, and browser push services for notifications you turn on.
• Google for sign-in and related account identity data you authorize during OAuth login.
• PayMongo for payment processing, QRPH payment generation, and transaction handling.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect users, prevent fraud, or respond to valid legal requests.

GuroHub uses cookies and similar session technologies that are needed to keep users signed in, secure requests, and support core product functionality. We do not currently state that we use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral tracking tools in the product.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain accounts, deliver purchases and downloads, process payouts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, investigate abuse, and enforce our agreements.

Different categories of data may be retained for different periods depending on operational, legal, security, and accounting needs.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for using your account responsibly and protecting access to your sign-in credentials.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information. You may also update some information directly through your account profile.
